Structure and authorities of the POGP
1) Plenary
It is the body that constitutes and supervises the activities of the other organs of the Organization. The Plenary Meeting shall be attended by the members of the Organization through their representatives. The main competences of the Plenary Assembly include:
- exercise control functions over the entire activities of the Organization
- adopting resolutions on amendments to the statutes of the Organization,
- election and dismissal of the members of the Presidium of the Organization,
- approval of the Organization's annual substantive and financial task plans,
- adopting resolutions on joining and withdrawing from foreign or national associations and organizations,
- determining the rules for payment and the amount of membership fees.
2) Presidium of the Union
It is the executive and governing body of the Organization in the periods between Plenary Meetings. The members of the Bureau shall be elected for a three-year term by the Plenary Assembly. The main competences of the Bureau include:
- giving opinions on proposals and draft resolutions submitted to the Plenary Meeting,
- presenting the Organisation with periodic reports on the activities of the Bureau,
- development of annual plans of the Organization's substantive and financial tasks and their implementation,
- the establishment of the Commission and the working parties,
- Appointment of the Director-General of the Organization.
3) Audit Committee
It is appointed by the Plenary Assembly. It is composed of three members of the Organization and its term of office is three years. The Audit Committee shall be responsible for:
- Examination of the financial statements on the implementation of the budget for the previous year.
- Executing control of the financial activities of the Union.
- To submit an assessment of the financial activities of the Union at the reporting and election meeting and to submit a request for discharge to the President and the Bureau of the Union.
4) General Manager
It is appointed by the Bureau. He directs and manages the work of the POGP based on the resolutions of the Bureau and represents the Organization externally. The Director General manages the POGP Office.
